Fields: Settings

These definitions help describe fields on the Settings screen.

The following definitions are in alphabetical order for quick reference.

ID
The text you enter in the ID field should be the HTML element ID of the page you want to serve ads on. Each webpage in your website needs a unique HTML element ID. If your webpage has an HTML element ID where you can place ads, enter the exact ID in this field. If your webpage does not already have an HTML element ID, create one in your webpage's source code before creating a tracking code in Marketing.
I will set my own keywords.
Choose this option when configuring your tracking code if you only want to use custom keywords instead of using the terms in your webpages' keywords meta tag. Create a unique keyword for each of your webpages.
Meta tag name
The Meta tag name is what the keywords meta tag is called in your webpage's source code. Although many pages use the name keywords for the keywords meta tag, your financial institution might use a custom meta tag. If your financial institution uses a custom meta tag, enter it in the Meta tag name field so Marketing knows where to get the keywords meta tag information.
No, leave this out for now.
Select this option on the Identifying end-users screen if you do not want to use online banking usernames to sync viewing data so Marketing can target ads across devices. You will not be able to export a list of known online banking users if you select this option.
No, this page has no room for ad repositioning.
Some webpages do not have room in their designs for ads. You can choose this option if you do not want Marketing to serve ads on your webpage. This option still allows your tracking code to record information about users' visits and online banking username associations.
Use a combination of my webpage's meta keywords and keywords that I provide.
Choose this option when configuring your tracking code if you want Marketing to pull keywords from the keywords meta tag and your custom keywords. Be sure to indicate in the Meta tag name field if the name of your keywords meta tag is something other than keywords. Also, be sure to use a different custom keyword for each webpage.
Use my webpage's meta keywords.
Choose this option when configuring your tracking code if you want Marketing to pull keywords from the keywords meta tag in your webpage's source code. You do not need to add additional information for this field unless your website uses any name for its meta keywords other than keywords. If your website's code uses something other than keywords as the tag, enter that information in the Meta tag name field.
Yes, associate online banking usernames with tracking data
Select this option if you want Marketing to sync viewing data to target ads across devices using your end users' online banking usernames. In addition, this option is required if you want to export a list of known online banking users. We recommend that you enable this feature.
Yes! Reposition ads on my webpage.
Choose this option if you want Marketing to serve the most relevant ads to your users using the tracking code. Marketing chooses ads of a desired size and uses information from users' previous page views to determine which ads to serve.
