Adding and editing text in a page
You can add or edit text on a page in Banno Content.
-
To add or edit
text within a content area, place your cursor inside it and type.
Tip: You can also paste the copy into the content area. When pasting text into a content area, right-click and select Paste as plain text to avoid potential issues with site formatting from external styles being copied into the site.
- After placing text, use the tool bar to modify the font format, font size, boldness, italicization, indention, justification, or to include bulleted or numbered lists.
-
When finished styling the text content, select Save at the top
of the screen.
Tip:
For best results and compliance with ADA, follow these guidelines:
- When a page is created, the title of that page automatically uses the h1 element. Include only one h1 per page.
- When using page heading styles, make sure to use them in descending order (for example, h2, h3, h4). You can reuse headings h2-h6, so long as they are always in descending order. This format is similar to how you would write an outline.
- The heading text must be unique from all other headings on a page. For example, if you name a page Security Tips (which automatically places that text in an h1 element), you cannot have another heading on that page that is named Security Tips alone. If the subheading says Security Tips and Tricks, that is acceptably different.
Tip: While actively editing page content, you can select Undo or Redo in the Editor's toolbar, as necessary. At any time you would like to pause and save your content as you are editing, select Save at the top of the screen.
