Updating Android™ store keys

Follow these steps to update your Android™ store keys by using your Banno Enterprise platform and the Google™ Play Developer console.

To set up your application for priority deployment, you must generate a deployment key from your Google™ Play Developer Account.
  1. Log in to your Banno Enterprise platform and select People.
  2. Select Settings > App Keys.
    Note: If the message under Android store key says Android store key found. No further action required, do not continue with this task.
  3. Go to the Google Play Developer Console and log in.
  4. From the menu on the left, select API access.
  5. On the API access page, select Create new service account.
    A prompt appears.
  6. Select the Google Cloud Platform link.
    The Google™ Cloud Platform webpage opens in a new window.
  7. Select CREATE SERVICE ACCOUNT.
    In the Create service account page, three steps are shown.
  8. In step one, enter a name in the Service account name field.
    Note: It is recommended that this account is named Banno android application key.
  9. Select CREATE AND CONTINUE.
    This action moves you to step two on the Create service account page.
  10. Assign a role to your service account user by selecting the Select a role drop-down list.
  11. Use the Filter service account user option to search for and select Service Account User.
  12. Select Continue.
  13. Skip step three of the Create service account page and select Done.
    The Service Accounts page loads automatically.
  14. Create a key for the service account that you named Banno android application key by selecting the menu icon under Actions.
    A drop-down list appears.
  15. Select Manage keys.
  16. Select the ADD KEY drop-down list.
  17. Select Create new key.
  18. If JSON is not already selected under Key type, select it.
  19. Select Create.
    A download window appears.
  20. Select Save File.
  21. Select OK.
    A JSON key file containing the key's information is downloaded to your computer's Downloads folder.
  22. Close the Private key saved to your computer window by selecting Close.
  23. Return to your Google Play Developer console and select Done.
    The page refreshes and the new service account appears.
  24. Select Manage Play Console permissions to grant access to this service account.
  25. Select the Admin (all permissions) check box.
  26. Select Invite user in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen.
  27. Select Send invite.
  28. Return to the Banno Enterprise Platform and open the JSON key file from your computer's Downloads folder.
  29. Highlight and copy the contents of this file.
  30. In the People page of Banno, paste the contents of the JSON key file into the Android store key field.
  31. Select Save.
    The message Android store key found. No further action required appears. Do not select Assign.
  32. Securely delete the key that you generated by deleting the JSON key file from your computer.
