Permission management
Permissions are divided by product and feature, giving a clear view of available options.
The following information outlines what each permission controls.

Pages
- Create new pages
- The Create new pages permission allows a user to create CMS pages. If this permission is enabled, the View pages permission is enabled automatically.
- Delete pages
- The Delete pages permission allows a user to delete existing CMS pages. If this permission is enabled, the View pages permission is enabled automatically.
- Edit pages
- The Edit pages permission allows a user to edit existing CMS pages. If this permission is enabled, the View pages permission is enabled automatically.
- Edit site settings
- The Edit site settings permission allows a user to access the Settings page in Banno CMS, allowing the user to add HTML to the header and footer of each page.
- Publish pages
- The Publish pages permission allows a user to publish existing CMS pages. If this permission is enabled, the View pages permission is enabled automatically.
- View pages
- The View pages permission allows a user to view existing CMS pages.
Rates
- Edit rates
- The Edit rates permission allows a user to edit markets in the Markets tab of the Rates screen in Banno CMS. If this permission is enabled, the View rates permission is enabled automatically.
- Publish rates
- The Publish rates permission allows a user to publish new rates. If this permission is enabled, the View rates permission is enabled automatically.
- View rates
- The View rates permission allows a user to see the Markets tab of the Rates screen in Banno CMS.
Locations
Members only
- Manage members & groups
- The Manage members & groups permission allows a user to add and delete members and groups in CMS. If this permission is enabled, the View members & groups permission is enabled automatically.
- View members & groups
- The View members & groups permission allows a user to see membership of the CMS.

People
- Manage everything - users, messages & settings
- The Manage everything - users, messages & settings permission allows a user to see and manage every other People option at the institution level. When enabled, all other permissions under the People heading are enabled automatically.
- View everything - users, messages & settings
- The View everything - users, messages & settings permission allows a user to see all controls available in Banno People. If any other permissions under the People heading are enabled, this setting is enabled automatically.
Users
- Manage external transfers
- The Manage external transfers permission allows a user to manage external transfer settings at the user level.
- Manage internal transfers
- The Manage internal transfers permission allows a user to manage internal transfer settings at the user level.
- Manage security settings
- The Manage security settings permission allows a user to manage security settings at the user level, including 2FA, password reset, unlock user, and removing devices.
- View activity
- The View activity permission allows a user to view all user level activity.
Messages
- Manage institution messages
- The Manage institution messages permission allows the user to have management permissions for messages sent on the institution-level.

- Manage external transfers
- The Manage external transfers setting allows a user to manage external transfer settings at the institution level, affecting all users.
- Manage internal transfers
- The Manage internal transfers setting allows a user to manage internal transfer settings at the institution level, affecting all users.
- Manage RDC
- The Manage RDC setting here allows a user to manage all RDC-related settings at the institution level, affecting all end users.
- Manage Reg D message for transfers
- The Manage Reg D message for transfers permission allows a user to manage Reg D message settings at the institution level, affecting all users.

- Delete users
- The Delete users permission allows a user to remove other users from the platform. If this permission is enabled, the View users permission is enabled automatically.
- Edit users
- The Edit users permission allows a user to remove other users from the platform. If this permission is enabled, the View users permission is enabled automatically.
- Invite users
- The Invite users permission allows a user to invite new users to the platform. If this permission is enabled, the View users permission is enabled automatically.
- View users
- The View users permission allows a user to view all other platform users.
Groups
- Create groups
- The Create groups permission allows a user to create groups and set the associated permissions. If this permission is enabled, the View groups permission is enabled automatically.
- Delete groups
- The Delete groups permission allows a user to delete groups, disabling all permissions granted to users by that group. If this permission is enabled, the View groups permission is enabled automatically.
- Edit groups
- The Edit groups permission allows a user to edit the details of existing groups. If this permission is enabled, the View groups permission is enabled automatically.
- View groups
- The View groups permission allows a user to view all groups, their attributes, and their enabled permissions.
Support
- Manage conversations
- The Manage conversations permission allows a user to communicate with users via Conversations in Banno Support. If a user doesn’t have the Manage conversations permission activated, they see a less detailed version of the inbox in Support. They are only be able to send internal notes, and they only see form submissions in the case list, regardless of what they search for or what filter is applied.
- Manage settings
- The Manage settings permission allows an end user to see or access any settings within Support. The Settings link at the bottom of the Inbox view in Support only appears for users with this permission.
- Manage form submissions
- The Manage form submissions permission allows the user to manage form submissions that come through to Banno Support.
