Setting Wires access for a user

In Banno Online User management, organization administrators can set Wires access for users.

  1. Select My profile > Business management.
  2. Select the user who you want to give access to Wires.
  3. Select Set permissions.
  4. Under Wires, use the Enable slider to turn Wires access on or off.
  5. Use the sliders to turn the following permission options on or off.
    Work with wires
    This permission option only appears for banks. This permission option lets the organization user transfer wires.
    Note: You must turn this permission on to change other wires permissions.
    Create wire templates
    This permission option only appears for banks. This permission option lets the organization user create wire templates, or repetitive wires.
    Edit wire templates
    This permission option only appears for banks. This permission option lets the organization user modify wire templates.
    Delete wires
    This permission option only appears for credit unions. This permission option allows an organization user to delete wires.
    Create one-time wires
    This permission option lets the organization user create one-time wires, or non-repetitive wires.
    Edit one-time wires
    This permission option lets the organization user edit one-time wires.
    Edit recurring wires
    This permission option only appears for banks. This permission option lets the organization user edit recurring wires.
    Per wire limit
    This permission option sets the maximum amount in whole dollars that an organization user can initiate per wire. This field can be set to 0, but you cannot use cents.
    Daily wire limit
    This permission option only appears for banks. This permission option sets the maximum amount in whole dollars that an organization user can initiate per day. This field can be set to 0, but you cannot use cents.
    Dual wire control limit
    This permission option only appears for banks. This permission option sets a limit in whole dollars for wires that require a second organization user's approval. For example, if this permission is set to 25000, wires above $25,000.00 require a second organization user's approval. This field can be set to 0, but you cannot use cents.
    Transmit wires

    This permission option lets the organization user send any type of wire, including one-time, recurring, and future-dated wires.

    To turn on this permission, you must set a Per wire limit greater than 0.

    Banks must also set a Daily wire limit greater than 0.

    Transmit wire without approval
    This permission option only appears for credit unions. This permission option allows the user to transmit a wire without approval.
    Transmit recurring wires
    This permission option only appears for banks. This permission option lets the organization user send recurring wires. To turn this permission on, you must turn on the Transmit wires permission.
    Dual wire control

    This permission option requires the organization user to get a second organization user's approval for wires that are over the Dual wire control limit.

    To turn on this permission, you must turn on the Transmit wires permission, and you must set a Dual wire control limit greater than 0.

    Transmit future-dated wires

    This permission option only appears for banks. This permission option lets the organization user send one-time or recurring wires with a future date. The effective date must be greater than the current date.

    To turn on this permission, you must turn on the Transmit wires permission.
