Phone
Selecting or dragging the Phone option onto your form in the form builder places an input area where users can enter phone number information.
- Label
- The field label should typically be the information you want to gather or the question you're wanting to have answered.
- Description
- Provides a more detailed explanation of the field, including additional context for end users or instructions about how to complete the field.
- Required?
- Determine if the field should be required for end users to submit the form. Select the box to require all fields of this type. Leave the box clear if fields of this type should not be required.
- Describes primary applicant
- Select this box if these field options describe the person filling out the form.
Validation
The Phone field has built-in validation to help prevent invalid responses. When an end user submits a response into a Phone field, the form checks if the response contains at least 10 and no more than 15 alphanumeric characters. If the entry has a character count outside of that range, the form presents an error message: Value must have 10 to 15 letters or numbers.
