Deactivating a single page from edit mode

In Banno Content, you can deactivate a page in edit mode to remove it from your website.

  1. Find the page that you would like to deactivate on the Pages screen, and then click the title.
    The selected page loads in edit mode.
  2. In the Ellipses Page actions menu, select Deactivate page.

    A link checker runs to determine if any links throughout the site are pointing to the selected pages.
  3. Choose a scenario.
    • If no links to the pages are found, select Confirm. The page status updates to Deactivated.
    • If links to the pages are found, a list is returned that contains pages that link to the page you are attempting to deactivate.
      Note: Be sure to update links to this page so broken links are not created within the site.
      • When ready to deactivate, select the check box next to the list of linked pages, and then click Confirm.
The status of the page updates to Deactivated and the page is no longer accessible on the website.
