Password management

If your institution has this feature, your end users can update their passwords at any time from the Change Password section under Settings > Security.

If your institution is a Jack Henry core-connected institution that has opted in to the password management feature, your end users can change their app password and NetTeller password at the same time from the app. NetTeller Cash Management users can also change their passwords in Banno Mobile.

Banno Mobile uses the same password rules that you have configured in NetTeller, and it shows the password requirements to the end user as they type.

For questions about this feature or your institution's implementation, create a jSource case on the For Clients site.

Expired passwords and original password

When Banno Mobile detects that an end user's password has expired, the app prompts them to set a new one. If the user signs in using their original password created during NetTeller enrollment, the app prompts them to update their password.

Dormancy and lock-outs

Banno Mobile honors the dormant and locked-out statuses set by NetTeller for retail users. If an end user attempts to sign in but their account has a dormant NetTeller status, Banno Mobile denies access. If a user becomes dormant or locked out, they are given your institution’s contact information and returned to the login page. Once you’ve unlocked the user through Back Office, they can log on again.
