Upload
Selecting or dragging the Upload option onto your form in the form builder results in an area where end users can upload files to the form.
- Label
- The field label should typically be the information you want to gather or the question you're wanting to have answered.
- Description
- Provides a more detailed explanation of the field, including additional context for end users or instructions about how to complete the field.
- Required?
- Indicate if the field will be required for users to submit the form. Selecting the box indicates required, and clearing the box indicates not required.
- Maximum file size
- Specify the maximum size of files end users can upload when submitting the form.
- File types
- Specify the file types that can be accepted with form submissions by listing file
extensions separated by commas.Note: A list of various file types appears by default and can be adjusted to fit your needs.
Validation
The Upload field has built-in validation to help prevent invalid responses.
Situation | Error message |

The end user's uploaded file has an extension that was not included in the list of acceptable file extensions in the form builder. | File must be [list of valid extensions]. |
