Upload

Selecting or dragging the Upload option onto your form in the form builder results in an area where end users can upload files to the form.

Label
The field label should typically be the information you want to gather or the question you're wanting to have answered.
Description
Provides a more detailed explanation of the field, including additional context for end users or instructions about how to complete the field.
Required?
Indicate if the field will be required for users to submit the form. Selecting the box indicates required, and clearing the box indicates not required.
Maximum file size
Specify the maximum size of files end users can upload when submitting the form.
File types
Specify the file types that can be accepted with form submissions by listing file extensions separated by commas.
Note: A list of various file types appears by default and can be adjusted to fit your needs.

Validation

The Upload field has built-in validation to help prevent invalid responses.

File uploads and error messages
Situation Error message
The end user's uploaded file has an extension that was not included in the list of acceptable file extensions in the form builder. File must be [list of valid extensions].
The end user's uploaded file exceeds the maximum file size specified in the form builder. File cannot exceed [maximum set in the form builder] megabytes.
