Getting started

Upon initial setup of your user, you receive a welcome email that includes a Join link. The following steps only apply to first-time logins.

1. Select the Join link to create a password.

   The password must follow these guidelines:

   • Must contain at least one digit.
   • Must contain at least one upper-case letter.
   • Must contain at least one lower-case letter.
   • Must contain at least one special character (for example, @#$%).
   • Must be at least eight characters in length.
2. Log on using your email address and password at https://login.banno.com.
3. Enter profile information.
   1. Enter your first and last name, phone number, and timezone.
   2. Select Save & continue.
4. Set up two-factor authentication.

   This step only applies for groups that use two-factor authentication.

   Two-factor authentication adds a security layer to end users' accounts by sending a one-time code to one of their devices when creating their account and at every subsequent login.

   1. Confirm your email address.
   2. Enter a mobile phone number.
   3. Select Next.
      A verification code is sent to your mobile device.

      Tip: You can select Resend or Try another way on the Enter verification code screen to send another verification code to your device.
   4. Enter the verification code into the Code field.
   5. Select Verify.
      Once verified, you receive a confirmation message.
5. Select Done to access the Banno Platform.
