Setting Wires access

In Banno People, the financial institution (FI) can set Wires access for organizations and members of organizations.

  1. In Banno People, select Users.
  2. Select the Organization or Member of organization user who you want to give access to Wires.
  3. Select the situation and follow the corresponding steps.

    Setting Wires access for an organization
    1. Select Permissions.
    2. If needed, select View all under Organization permissions.

      This step is only necessary for credit unions.

    3. Use the Wires slider to turn Wires access on or off.
    Setting Wires access for a member of an organization
    1. Select Permissions.
    2. Under Organization user permissions, select View all.
    3. Under Wires, use the Enable slider to turn Wires access on or off.
    Note:

    Banks can view additional Wires permission options for a Member of organization user, but banks cannot edit the following permissions in Banno People:

    • Work with wires
    • Create wire templates
    • Edit wire templates
    • Create one-time wires
    • Edit one-time wires
    • Edit recurring wires
    • Per wire limit
    • Daily wire limit
    • Dual wire control limit
    • Transmit wires
    • Transmit recurring wires
    • Dual wire control
    • Transmit future-dated wires

    The organization administrator can edit these permissions in Banno Online User management.

  4. For credit unions, use the toggles to turn the following permission options on or off.

    Credit unions can set the default permission options in an organization's profile. These default permissions are used when creating an organization user. Credit unions can also change an organization user's permission options.

    View wires
    This permission option lets the organization user transfer wires.
    Note: To update any Wires permission, first activate View wires.
    Delete wires
    This permission option only appears for credit unions. This permission option allows an organization user to delete wires.
    Create one-time wires
    This permission option lets the organization user create one-time wires, or non-repetitive wires.
    Edit one-time wires
    This permission option lets the organization user edit one-time wires.
    Transmit wires

    This permission option lets the organization user send any type of wire, including one-time, recurring, and future-dated wires.

    To turn on this permission, you must set a Per wire limit greater than 0.

    Banks must also set a Daily wire limit greater than 0.

    Transmit wire without approval
    This permission option only appears for credit unions. This permission option allows the user to transmit a wire without approval.
    Per wire limit
    This permission option sets the maximum amount in whole dollars that an organization user can initiate per wire. This field can be set to 0, but you cannot use cents.
