Change address and better credit card account information for credit unions & Forms in Banno Conversations℠

We hope everyone is well and back to somewhat normal temps after the freezing, cold weather the entire country faced! One thing is for sure, we’ll never leave you out in the cold when it comes to releasing meaningful features and updates. Here's a look at what's new this month!

New feature • Mobile & Online

Better credit card account information for credit unions

Credit unions with third-party PSCU credit cards can celebrate! At long last, we improved external loan record account information and transactions. Credit unions can expect more detailed account information and transactions.

Available in March, this feature will be configurable by you within Banno People℠. Configuration instructions will be posted in Banno Knowledge and JHA Webhelp when available.

New feature • Mobile & Online

Change address for credit unions

We’re making an update to the way Change Address works for our credit union customers. Today, all address changes are created by starting a conversation after your member fills out the change address form. When this new feature is enabled, addresses will be updated directly in Episys. This feature will require the installation of a new PowerOn to support the functionality.

We'll enable this for our beta financial institutions soon and follow up with details on how to enable it for everyone else. Hang tight for more information!

Coming soon • Mobile & Online

More 2FA options

We’re hard at work expanding the number of 2FA options available for users to verify themselves when logging into Banno. In addition to Authy, we're adding voice calls, sms messages, and authenticator apps. You’ll be able to specify which of these options are available for users when the feature becomes available this spring.

Coming soon • Enterprise platform

Enterprise platform redesign

As we round the final turn toward release, we wanted to pass along a reminder about our imminent redesigned enterprise products. We don’t have an exact date just yet, but are looking at mid-March as our product and engineering teams finish testing.

If you haven't already, make sure to visit our transition guide and share it among your teams to make the adjustment as smooth as possible.

Forms in Banno Conversations℠

We’ve been talking about this one for a while, and we’re excited to announce it’s finally rolling out. For financial institutions with Conversations enabled, our Form Builder will soon be enabled as well. You will just need to create new groups or update existing ones with the appropriate permissions enabled. You can learn more about this here. The Form Builder will also be ready for financial institutions with only CMS sites soon.

Open API transactions and accounts guide

Transaction and account information holds a wealth of information about a customer. Because our Open API provides secure access, financial institutions and fintech vendors can be empowered to build features and integrations. We updated our documentation to include new guides, providing more information on accessing accounts and transaction information. If you're interested in having the Banno custom team write to our APIs on your behalf, reach out to your account executive.

Open API data refresh guide

In order to provide you quick access to transaction information in our Open API, we have a number of layers of caching to provide you the data quickly. If your application requires real-time data, you can trigger a refresh to update the data and get it the moment you need it. Our new guide is available and walks you through the data refresh process. If you're interested in having the Banno custom team write to our APIs on your behalf, reach out to your account executive.
