A look ahead: Retiring NetTeller® in July 2027
As previously announced to impacted customers (in the SLA sent on July 28, 2025), the end of an era is now in sight. For over two and a half decades, NetTeller Online Banking™ has been a cornerstone of digital services for many financial institutions on our SilverLake and CIF 20/20 cores. It has served as a vital bridge, connecting you with your accountholders and empowering their digital financial interactions.
As we continually evolve our platforms to deliver the most modern and intuitive experiences possible, we're taking a significant step forward in our digital banking journey: On July 1, 2027, Jack Henry will officially retire all NetTeller offerings for SilverLake and CIF 20/20 banks. This retirement includes NetTeller Online Banking, NetTeller Small Business Cash Management, and NetTeller Commercial Cash Management.
Making this strategic move aligns with our commitment to a unified, modern, and forward-looking digital ecosystem. Many of you have already embraced the robust capabilities of the Banno Digital Platform, experiencing firsthand its ability to elevate your digital presence, enhance user satisfaction, and drive growth. We strongly encourage any financial institutions still leveraging NetTeller to begin conversations with your Digital Experience Sales Executive about migrating to the Banno platform.
Key dates and details
Here are two crucial things we want to make explicitly clear:
- July 1, 2027: On this date, all access to NetTeller front-end services will be turned off, and users will no longer be able to log in.
- Contract expiration: Your existing NetTeller and NetTeller Cash Management (if applicable) contracts will not be renewed and will expire on July 1, 2027.
Understanding the transition
This retirement is primarily a front-end change for your end users. The underlying NetTeller subsystems and libraries that integrate directly into your core will remain active as they have been modernized and refactored as integral parts of your SilverLake or CIF 20/20 core. This change doesn’t affect Core Director, which will have a separate NetTeller retirement plan that we will communicate when the time comes. Additionally, this change does not affect the foundational elements of JHA Electronic Statements – Interactive™ (ESI), which will remain active and continue benefitting from ongoing enhancements.
Important: Though NetTeller and Cash Management are now technically in “maintenance mode” and will therefore no longer receive enhancements, rest assured that they will continue to be supported and receive any critical bug fixes. However, new feature development has ceased, and any IdeaLab submissions specific to these offerings will be closed.
Partnering for your success
Because Banno is deeply integrated with our core systems, data migration for your institution will be smoother, requiring less effort and fewer resources. This internal move ensures a faster, less complex deployment, bringing a superior digital banking experience to both your institution and your end users as quickly – and with as little disruption – as possible.
Your partnership is invaluable to us, and we are dedicated to making this transition as smooth as possible. Our teams are ready to support you with resources and guidance every step of the way as you explore and adopt the powerful capabilities of the Banno Digital Platform. For any questions or to discuss your migration path, please connect with your Digital Experience Sales Executive.
The entire Jack Henry Digital Banking team looks forward to innovating and growing with you beyond the July 1, 2027, NetTeller retirement and well into the future.
